Tenpay to Offer Dangdang Online Payment Service

Yesterday, Tenpay, the online payment service provider under the aegis of Tencent, cut a deal with Dangdang.com, the biggest B2C ecommerce website in China, to offer buyers of Dangdang online payment service.

Buyers can not only subscribe to guidelines on promotions, but also get access to information about discounts via QQ news.

The online payment service offered by Tenpay is backed by more than 20 banks. Tenpay will also resort to the SNS system to provide Internet users and its QQ users with information.



On top of that, Tenpay and Ctrip.com, the biggest online traveling service provider in China, will soon jointly launch services such as B2C payment, one-stop QQ traveling service platform, and the QZONE online traveling service.

Based on its vast QQ user base, Tencent has been extending its reach to other Internet business beyond its traditional instant messaging business.
