5th Finger Partners with Aura Interactive on Red Hot BlueZones in U.S.

(Wireless News Via Acquire Media NewsEdge)
5th Finger, a company providing an advanced mobile technology platform,
announced the company's partnership with Bluetooth proximity marketing
company Aura Interactive to offer advertisers a specialized
Bluetooth/Wi-Fi/SMS/MMS marketing platform to "create engaging,
interactive and measurable promotions."

According to the company, BlueZones allow consumers to download mobile
content at specific events via SMS, Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. When a BlueZone
network is set up at an event, entertainment venue, kiosk or retail
site, visitors with a Bluetooth or Wi-Fi-enabled device will receive an
invitation on their PDA to receive location-related downloads,
including videos, interviews, ringtones, wallpapers, games and
coupons/vouchers.

"The combination of SMS, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi technologies provides
brands the broadest means to reach consumers, while also tracking which
download offers are most popular," said Luke Forman, co-founder and
vice president, media and events, 5th Finger. "With these intelligent,
permission-based, networked messaging platforms, brands learn more
about consumers' tastes while consumers enjoy interactive, relevant
event-themed content."

Experiential marketing initiatives and out-of-home advertising have
historically been hard to measure. However, BlueZone hotspots give the
advertiser a clear indication of traffic levels and interaction numbers
in various regions. The network can display how often people return to
a specific location and which downloads consumers "opt out" of. While
no personal information or mobile numbers are captured by the
BlueZones, the details of each interaction are measured for tracking
and reporting purposes, the company said.

"This type of rich content experience and the sophisticated network
capabilities of the BlueZones platform are new to US consumers," said
Adam Dunne, CEO of Aura Interactive. "Consumers love the mobile
downloads because they are free and they allow them to interact with
the event or the location in a new and exciting way. They also love the
special offers which can be redeemed at the event or with advertising
partners elsewhere and the videos and interviews have a strong appeal
to pass on to friends."
