Eckoh plc contracted to provide self-service platform for financial services company

Eckoh plc, a UK provider of hosted speech recognition services,
announced on 8 September that it has been contracted by an unnamed
financial services company to provide an automated telephony
self-service platform for handling customer enquiries across Europe.

The deal is expected to start generating revenue by the fourth quarter
of 2008 and to reach full run rate in the first half of the next
financial year with revenue in excess of GBP1m per annum. The contract
is for three years. Eckoh expects to process around 40 million minutes
of calls annually for its new client.

Eckoh has the capacity to process 650,000 calls per hour on its 10,000

line platform, with 8,000 of those lines incorporating speech
recognition capabilities. An alliance with BT means that calls
originating in Europe can be delivered to Eckoh's call processing
platform in the UK.
