Altman Vilandrie & Company Expands Senior Management Team To Address Firm's Rapid Growth & Expansion

BOSTON --(Business Wire)-- June 27, 2006 --

Jonathan Hurd and David Waite Bring Substantial Telecommunications Strategy Experience To Firm With Leadership Position in Communications and Finance Sectors

Altman Vilandrie & Company (AV&Co.), a Boston-based strategy consulting firm serving the telecommunications and high-tech industries, today announced the expansion of its Boston-based headquarters with the addition of two senior executives, Jonathan A. Hurd and David T. Waite. Both executives join the firm in the role of Director.

The additions are part of a larger move initiated by the firm's founders, Rory Altman and Ed Vilandrie, to increase the firm's breadth of expertise within the communications and investment communities as the company expands. AV&Co. maintains a different approach from industry clusters within "generalist" strategy firms, providing clients with a unique blend of analytical rigor and industry expertise that spans technology trends and developments, economics and regulatory issues. AV&Co. has performed work throughout the communications value chain, including telecom service providers, cable companies, wireless carriers, and sophisticated investors that are active within these sectors.

"Industry executives and investors face unprecedented challenges and opportunities as the communications industry is transformed by heightened competition, new technologies, rapidly changing customer demands, and deregulation," said Rory Altman, Co-founder and Director of AV&Co.

"Today's executives must rapidly make complex decisions with high stakes - and they must do so within a fiercely competitive and dynamic environment. Previously, decision-makers could rely on advice from generalist firms, yet today's executives need trusted, in-depth knowledge from hands on experts who understand the industry. Today's announcement reflects Altman Vilandrie & Company's continued commitment to deliver superior advice to our clients, helping them to constantly increase value to their customers and stakeholders."

Co-founder and Director Ed Vilandrie continued, "We will continue to expand our presence through a highly selective process that brings on consultants with impressive track records and experience that is in line with our values and philosophy." He added, "Both Jonathan and David maintain a deep knowledge base, level of experience and approach that is complementary with our current skill set, and we are delighted to have them on board."
