Network Intelligence Corporation Joins the Network Appliance(TM) Partner Program

WESTWOOD, Mass. --(Business Wire)-- Sept. 28, 2005 -- Network Intelligence(TM) Corp., the market-proven leader in transforming enterprise-wide data into automated compliance and security information, today announced the availability of storage and archival solutions that will enable Network Intelligence customers to comprehensively capture, analyze, and for the first time store mission-critical log and event data on NetApp(R) unified storage systems.

Companies are facing growing storage and archival needs from regulatory compliance laws and regulations such as Sarbanes Oxley, GLBA, and HIPAA. As a critical component to efficiently achieving IT compliance and effective enterprise-wide security, Network Intelligence's LogSmart(R) Internet Protocol Database (IPDB) allows enterprise and government customers to automatically capture and analyze all the operational information and security events from any IP-connected device or application.

This compliance and security information collected by Network Intelligence is quickly becoming mission critical, pushing organizations to define data retention and archival strategies. Based upon the company's extensive experience with the Fortune 500, Network Intelligence projects companies of this size needing to capture, manage, and analyze anywhere from 25,000 to over one million sustained events per second (EPS). Depending upon each company's individual compliance and security data retention policy, companies require storage that is easy to provision, deploy, and manage in order to retain this information.

"Customers are walking a fine line balancing huge storage demands, complex compliance requirements, and critical security needs while also striving to minimize their costs," said Patrick Rogers, vice president of Products and Partners at Network Appliance. "As a member of the NetApp Partner Program, Network Intelligence is directly addressing the security and compliance needs of customers--with SIEM (or security information and event management) technology--and making it easy and affordable for them to manage security information lifecycle data."

"One of our primary goals as a company is to help our customers by taking the cost and complexity out of compliance," said Jim Melvin, executive vice president of marketing and business development at Network Intelligence. "As an integrated NetApp partner, we have taken another step toward continually providing customers with solutions that will cost-effectively scale and collect all the data."
