Convergys, Whirlpool Sign 10-Year Outsourcing Agreement

Convergys Corporation announced Thursday that home appliance giant Whirlpool Corporation signed a 10-year contract to use the company as its human resource business process outsourcing provider.

Convergys will provide support for Whirlpool retirees and employees from service centers in Europe and the United States.

Services to be provided by Convergys will include data integration aspects of recruitment and compensation, workforce deployment and planning, benefits administration, an employee service center and payroll. The company will also offer support to Whirlpool's global HR group regarding succession planning and performance management along with supporting functions such as policy and legal compliance, change management, communications and vendor management.

Whirlpool markets its brands to consumers in more than 170 countries. The company has nearly 50 technology and manufacturing research centers worldwide and annual sales of more than $13 billion.
