ZyXEL Wireless G+ SuperSpeed Firewall Router Dramatically Increases Performance for Fast and Secure Internet Access

ZyXEL Communications, a leading provider of broadband access solutions, today unveils its new ZyXEL P-334WT Wireless G+ Firewall Router at the 2005 International Consumer Electronics Show. With ZyXEL's Wireless G+ SuperSpeed(TM) technology and Trend Micro Home Network Security Services, the new P-334WT provides users with better performance than standard 802.11g products and safe Internet surfing.


The newly introduced ZyXEL P-334WT increases wireless data transmission speeds by more than 7 times compared with the IEEE 802.11b standard. ZyXEL's SuperSpeed(TM) technology boosts the connection speed between the P-334WT and notebooks to an astounding 125Mbps, as compared to the slower 54Mbps speed of standard 802.11g and 11Mbps speed of standard 802.11b. The ZyXEL P-334WT Firewall Router includes a four-port switch and built-in 802.11g wireless access point (AP).

The P-334WT incorporates Trend Micro Home Network Security Services and Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI) firewall to establish the highest level of security. ZyXEL's One-Touch Intelligent Security Technology (OTIST) allows users to automatically synchronize WLAN security with enabled wireless devices. Additional 256-bit WEP encryption and WiFi Protected Access (WPA) prevents intruders from tapping into the wireless connection.

As threats from the Internet increase, the ZyXEL P-334WT incorporates SPI firewall to deter hackers. Home Network Security from Trend Micro, a leader in network antivirus and Internet content security software and services, provides antivirus protection and parental controls to protect and monitor Internet access and block improper web pages.

The P-334WT also incorporates bandwidth management that allows the user to prioritize different types of network traffic. With bandwidth management, the user can choose to maintain high networking performance for advanced applications such as online gaming or VoIP that require high bandwidth.
