BindView Expands Directory Administration Solutions to Help Organizations Meet Regulatory Compliance and Auditing Standards

(Nasdaq:BVEW) today unveiled significant enhancements to its Directory Administration portfolio, including an industry-first centralized audit capability for Microsoft(R) Active Directory(R). BindView Directory Administration products provide organizations with advanced management software to ensure regulatory compliance while automating the deployment and optimization of enterprise directories, which control systems, user access and profiles. New product releases from the Directory Administration portfolio improve centralized provisioning, workflow and auditing capabilities, allowing organizations to elevate security best practices for meeting regulatory compliance and auditing standards.

Today's announcement includes two new releases: bv-Admin for Windows 7.20 and Password Self Service 7.20.

bv-Admin for Windows 7.20

bv-Admin for Windows is a comprehensive, enterprise-scalable application that helps IT administrators meet compliance requirements by centrally automating the control of Microsoft Active Directory operations, and unlocking the advanced cost-saving and security features of Windows 2000 and Windows Server 2003. BindView combines delegation, workflow, provisioning, cross-platform support, scripting integration, group policy management and help desk tools into a single suite, designed specifically to help maximize the Windows investment. With bv-Admin, BindView also provides bundled Plus Packs for the administration of Exchange, Group Policy and Novell NDS.

New enhancements in bv-Admin for Windows 7.20 include:

-- Audit and Regulatory Compliance: To help meet security auditing requirements for regulatory compliance, bv-Admin provides an industry-first centralized auditing capability for Microsoft Active Directory, enabling data consolidation across multiple domains from a single location.

-- Real-Time System and User Administration: IT administrators can automatically update Organization Unit and Site Locations, significantly reducing the time and complexity of managing Active Directory, and resulting in improved customer service levels.

Password Self Service 7.20

BindView Password Self Service is an enterprise-scalable automated password reset application that offers organizations an immediate increase in user service levels while significantly decreasing help desk expenses. Users are able to reset passwords directly from their workstations, without network authentication or help desk assistance.

New enhancements in Password Self Service 7.20 include:

-- Extensible Architecture: Allows plug-ins for any LDAP-based application

-- Expanded Platform Support: Now includes Sun iPlanet, in addition to Windows, SAP, UNIX and Linux. Users are able to reset passwords directly from their own workstation, without network authentication.
