VEGASTREAM AND 8HERTZ PARTNER TO BRING VOICE ACTIVATED DATA TO EUROPE

VegaStream, the leading supplier of dedicated business VoIP (Voice over IP) Gateways, today announced its partnership with 8hertz technologies GmbH, Germany's leading Voice Business Enabler. Under the terms of the agreement, VegaStream gateways will be bundled with 8hertz's voice business platform and sold to customers in Germany and throughout Europe.

8hertz technologies provide Voice Business Solutions and networked voice-driven gateways to customers throughout Europe. Using speech-driven technology, they combine modern telecommunication and Internet technologies with natural speech recognition to provide voice activated data from any telephone, mobile or fixed line. By integrating VegaStream's VoIP gateways with their voice business platform 8hertz is able bring the advantages of VoIP - flexibility and low call costs - to this revolutionary form of communications. The result is a solution that enables users to have remote access to applications via a voice-activated interface on the phone. Companies, their customers, clients, and employees can access and use mission-critical business data through interactive voice dialogs while on the move, saving time and improving work efficiency.

The 8hertz / VegaStream voice business platform has been implemented in a range of different industries and applications and has become increasingly popular in the main logistics and public transport sectors. A public transport company in Hamburg uses the solution to extend its online public transit information service to any telephone. A major European Logistics company based in Belgium is integrating the solution into its delivery information service for German customers. Volkswagen is another customer that has deployed the 8hertz / VegaStream voice business platform. Other European customers include BMW and DIREKTexpress.
