OpenPages, Network Frontiers Partnership Helps Reduce Compliance Issues

Companies today operate in a highly regulated business environment, so it is important to avoid duplicate efforts whenever possible to save valuable resources associated with compliance and risk management.

OpenPages, a provider of integrated risk management solutions, and Network Frontiers, a provider of IT regulatory compliance solutions, have joined hands to offer a comprehensive solution to help their customers manage their risk environment more efficiently and holistically than ever before.

The companies have integrated Network Frontiers’ Unified Compliance Framework, or “UCF,” with the OpenPages Platform to deliver the most comprehensive IT compliance database in the industry.

Network Frontiers' UCF is the first and largest independent initiative to map IT controls across international regulations, standards and best practices, company officials said.

The integration of UCF central repository of regulatory requirements into OpenPages' existing IT governance solution – OpenPages ITG – further supports OpenPages' goal of providing its customers with a holistic approach to managing IT risk and compliance.

“By partnering with Network Frontiers, we're adding yet another way for our customers to navigate the increasingly choppy waters of IT risk and compliance,” Gordon Burnes, vice president of Marketing, OpenPages, said.

“By providing this comprehensive database of risk and regulatory content as part of our product, we're providing substantial added value to our solution, something organizations of all shapes and sizes can certainly appreciate today,” Burnes said.

The UCF data gives OpenPages customers access to the most comprehensive set of IT policies and controls that cross multiple regulations.

The integrated platform helps OpenPage customers reduce the time commitment and costs associated with complying with the slew of IT risk and compliance mandates nearly all companies are faced with today.

The database helps them comply with hundreds of regulations, standards and guidelines that include thousands of overlapping controls which make the task of managing IT risk an increasingly daunting one. It ensures that the IT resources are properly aligned to business strategy, while managing a multitude of technology risks and compliance requirements.

“With the integration of our UCF data into OpenPages' existing IT risk and compliance solution, their customers will be better-positioned to more efficiently and holistically manage their risk environment than ever before,” Craig Isaacs, CEO, Network Frontiers, said.

Network Frontiers recently announced the latest addition to its compliance database. The third quarter 2009 UCF focuses on U.S. state security breach notification laws and the FTC’s (News - Alert) Red Flag Rules, the company said. With this, Network Frontiers further alleviates the regulatory misery for companies worldwide, company officials said.
