Convergys Honored with Philippine BPO Company of the Year Award

Convergys Corporation, a provider of relationship management solutions, has announced that it has been honored with a 'BPO Company of the Year' award at the 2010 International ICT Awards ceremony in Manila.


According to a press release, Convergys was awarded Philippine’s 'BPO Company of the Year' for its leadership, size, diversity, commitment to continuous improvement, corporate social responsibility involvement, and its active support of the international information and communication technology industry in the Philippines.

Convergys primarily focuses on delivering customer solutions, human resource (HR) solutions, smart BSS solutions and consulting and services. The company offers contact center software products, intelligent automation products, smart BSS Apps and Intervoice Media Exchange with HomeZone Products.

According to officials with Convergys, the company could establish twelve contact center facilities in the Philippines in a span of six years. The company’s seven facilities are located throughout metro Manila, three in Cebu City, one in Bacolod City, and one in Santa Rosa, Laguna. The company has more than 20,000 workforces throughout these sites.

Organized annually by the Business Processing Association of the Philippines and the Canadian Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines, this prestigious award aims at encouraging the work and achievements of companies, individuals, as well as the overall industry that have contributed not only to the Philippine but also to international business community.

The 2010 International ICT Award was launched in 2007. This is the third International Award the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) community has granted to Convergys, which has previously received honors as the 'BPO Employer of the Year'. The judging committee for the selection of the award was composed of a diverse group of independent and knowledgeable individuals with extensive experience in the industry.
