ProPay Pledges Support for New eBay Buyer Protection Program

February 02, 2010

ProPay, a provider of end-to-end data security encryption, credit card processing and electronic payment services, has announced its support for the expansion of eBay Buyer Protection to all approved electronic safe payment methods.

ProPay was pleased with eBay’s extension of its Buyer Protection program. This offers an added level of customer support and trust to the online marketplace, said ProPay sources.

The new policy entails that ProPay buyers and sellers will benefit from the extension of eBay’s Buyer Protection method. Buyers need to simply pay with their credit cards at checkout when using ProPay without opening up an account. Buyers can pay with their credit card and will also benefit from eBay’s Buyer Protection.

“As eBay’s first electronic payment method added in addition to PayPal and credit cards, we’re extremely pleased to be part of eBay’s New Buyer Protection program,” said Gary Goodrich, CEO of ProPay, in a release. “This new program adds another layer to the protection already offered by the individual card brands and signifies both companies’ commitment to simple, safe and secure payment transactions for eBay buyers and sellers.”

Utah-based ProPay provides simple, safe and affordable credit card processing and electronic payment services for all businesses. The businesses may range from the small, home-based entrepreneur to multi-billion-dollar enterprises. It provides complete end-to-end payment security and encryption solutions for organizations.

“As eBay’s first electronic payment method added in addition to PayPal and credit cards, we’re extremely pleased to be part of eBay’s New Buyer Protection program,” said a source at ProPay.

ProPay understand the needs of all businesses and has created merchant services specifically for them. Merchants can set up accounts online and begin accepting credit cards without buying special equipment or making long-term commitments and investments.

The company educates merchants on how to reduce or eliminate the risk of touching or holding sensitive cardholder data. It has developed secure end-to-end solutions for protecting sensitive data and alternative payment options that reduce business costs. ProPay solutions help merchants by reducing the risk of breaches and PCI scope by removing the data.
