Walker Intros IPhone App for Customer Feedback

October 28, 2009

Indianapolis-based consulting firm Walker Information, has announced it is offering an iPhone application to provide its users "fast and easy access to customer feedback.”

Walker Link for iPhone was created to complement Walker Link - an online application linking account managers to feedback provided by customers. With the new iPhone app, account managers can access that customer information.

Last month, TMC reported that portable social video technology vendor mDialog announced what company officials called a “new step,”“Video as a Service product” for managing and delivering video content with ads to the iPhone/iPod touch owner.

The mDialog platform can insert geo-targeted video ads into a VOD or live-video stream using the iPhone - notably Apple’s new HTTP Adaptive Video Streaming technology.

The product also brings to market previously unavailable features, according to mDialog. offering media publishers and advertisers a HTTP adaptive video streaming technology loads video content faster and “adjusting in quality in real time according to network strength,” according to mDialog officials, who pitch the technology as “boosting the iPhone user experience.”

Mike Grindstaff, Walker's IT product portfolio manager, said Walker Link for iPhone "provides access to the most recent feedback from customers."

So from an iPhone, an account manager can get the feedback from a company or individual contact, see which contacts have responded to a survey, and send survey reminders: "Walker Link for iPhone allows people to have a meaningful dialogue with their customers," Walker's Chief Information Officer Brian Kovacs says.
