Elisa Corp., Amdocs Sign Managed Services Agreement

July 06, 2009

Elisa Corporation, a provider of wireless, wireline, broadband Internet and cable TV services in Finland, and Amdocs, a provider of customer experience systems, have signed a six-year managed services and billing consolidation agreement.

According to Amdocs officials, the company will handle the day-to-day management and maintenance of the Amdocs billing, ordering and customer relationship management software that was originally deployed in 2007 to support Elisa's wireless operations.

Officials said that Amdocs will also consolidate Elisa's eight legacy wireless, wireline, Internet and cable billing systems to establish a single, convergent billing system.
Amdocs will also deliver the Amdocs Enterprise Product Catalog to serve as a master repository for all product information currently managed in five different billing, ordering and self-service catalogs to enable Elisa to better define, blend, bundle and price its entire offering portfolio.

Back in June, ContactCenterSolutions reported that B.mobile Communications Sdn Bhd, a mobile provider in Brunei, reportedly deployed the Amdocs ChangingWorlds Personalized Mobile Portal solution

Amdocs said that the Amdocs ChangingWorlds' solution enhances content relevance through advanced personalization techniques, enabling B.mobile to offer a more compelling end-user experience by automatically delivering relevant, personalized mobile content and services to individual subscribers.

Amdocs officials said that the solution includes Amdocs ChangingWorlds Intelligent Navigation, which restructures the portal menu hierarchy for an individual subscriber based on his or her regular usage patterns, content preferences and behavioral profiles. Intelligent Navigation makes relevant content easier and faster to find by reducing the number of clicks and time required to reach content of interest.

The solution, officials said, also enables B.mobile to deliver personalized content teasers and recommendations to encourage and increase mobile internet usage, and generate more data revenues.

B.mobile said that it has also implemented Amdocs ChangingWorlds Business Intelligence, giving the company detailed and timely visibility into the key performance indicators relating to mobile portal usage such as churn trends, the number of unique portal visitors, and the detailed breakdown of subscriber activity on the mobile internet.

Thanks to this, B.mobile will be able to identify new revenue opportunities, continue to improve the user experience and gain a sustainable competitive advantage.
