March 19, 2009

AVI-SPL, a systems and services integrator and Glowpoint have partnered to provide a complete and exclusive managed service for AVI-SPL customers.

Glowpoint Inc. provides advanced video communications solutions. Its robust suite of telepresence and video communications solutions allow organizations to communicate with one another in spite of disparate network and technology platforms.

Glowpoint will power the new solution, ConferencePoint, which will also enhance AVI-SPL’s room build and integration, customer care and onsite staffing models with the addition of comprehensive managed service support for traditional video and telepresence environments.

ConferencePoint offers three customized levels of managed video services for AVI-SPL customers including VNOC managed services. This offers comprehensive monitoring room management and scheduling, call launching, 24/7 help desk, and a full complement of performance reporting for telepresence and HD/SD video environments.

The second customizable level is Connect and ConnectPlus which delivers Quality of Service (QoS) connectivity, dialing plans, ease-of-use features and support required to enable HD and SD video conferencing.

The third level includes Conferencing services which offer full multipoint videoconferencing, bridging and streaming with inbound reservations and comprehensive support.

Florida-based AVI-SPL specializes in providing quality audio visual technology and is a global integrator for audio video systems and services. It offers several presentation solutions like systems integration, sales and rentals, complete staging productions, managed conferencing, IP integration and event management.

AVI-SPL customers can access ConferencePoint series via a customer portal and live, 24/7 conferencing production and support teams and customers will be able to see and talk to anyone any where in the world virtually.

“Service offerings have played a big role in AVI-SPL’s growth strategy, and this is the next step in our evolution to offer the most comprehensive offerings in the industry,” said John Zettel, CEO of AVI-SPL.

“Based on Glowpoint’s Managed Service platform, ConferencePoint offers a total solution by combining the services with the equipment purchase, room integration and on-going management and support.”

The new ConferencePoint service line will be launched in Detroit during AVI-SPL’s 12-city University educational series for AVI-SPL’s client base.
