Altivon, a company that designs and delivers state-of-the-art contact center solutions, recently announced that it has integrated VidyoWorks platform with the Customer Interaction Center (CIC) from Interactive Intelligence for easy to use, HD multi-party video conferencing. As a result of the integration, the customers will now be able to access features such as ACD-routed video chat, multi-participant video chats, desktop sharing, and integration with the agent's desktop.

The VidyoWorks platform and APIs allow developers across a wide variety of markets and applications to attain a level of HD video conferencing scalability and geographical distribution that has never before been achieved affordably and with such high quality.

The VidyoWorks platform allows customers and partners to achieve their visual communications goals of telco-grade scalability, exceptional quality and affordability. Vidyo partners are leveraging VidyoWorks to visually connect people and locations into their workflow and business processes to address new applications and business requirements.

“Video conferencing is a powerful way for contact centers to interact with customers,” said Frank Tersigni, Altivon’s executive vice president. “It promotes a more personal connection, a richer context for discussion and visibility to the customer’s computing environment. Having multiple parties interacting in one virtual room is extremely effective for diagnosis, coaching, briefings and quick how-to’s. The VidyoWorks platform integrates into our contact center solutions and provides unmatched quality, scalability and affordability and runs on the laptops, smart phones, tablets and room systems that our customers already have.”

Recently, Swisscom, Switzerland-based ICT provider launched a new cloud-based video communications and collaboration service based on the VidyoWorks platform. The service, called Vidia, is ideal for small and medium enterprises, but larger companies and consumer customers will also benefit from its many innovative features. Vidia enables Swisscom business customers to participate in multi-party video calls and is able to deliver affordable, high-quality, multipoint HD video conferencing systems over smartphones, tablets and desktops.
