Ingate Systems SIP Trunking Validated for Use with Interactive Intelligence CIC

At ITEXPO in Miami, Ingate® Systems sponsored three days of insights on SIP trunking and the closely related subjects of what SIP enables and compliments, i.e., next generation unified communications (UC) and WebRTC.  In fact, TMC CEO Rich Tehrani, TMC Group Editorial Director Eric Linask and I had the privilege of sharing our views on SIP as a key enabler in what we at TMC have termed “The Age of Acceleration” which included some proof cases about how and why in an era where business is about speed, SIP is what greases the wheels for operational efficiency and effectiveness. 


Ingate and all of those who participated in not just their sessions but during all of the talk in and out of the crowded exhibit hall around the future of IP communications repeatedly came back to the same point about seamless connectivity being an industry driver.  In fact, it was discussed several times that it has been the ability of Session Boarder Controllers (SBCs) to not just provide connectivity to the PSTN to enable SIP functionality to provide endpoints with things like UC, but the ability to do transcoding between different flavors of SIP that in just the past few years has driven not just the SIP trunking market, but also is finally allowing UC to fulfill its promise.  After all, the intrinsic value of UC can only be realized if it can be used, anywhere at any time, on any device for interactions with other connected devices and the people and applications that rely on them.
