March 01, 2013

Stream Global Services Inc., a resourceful, leading global business process outsourcing (BPO) company based in Eagan has acquired a call center company based in the United Kingdom, LBM Holdings and its related LBM group companies.

The acquisition made by Stream Global is for an undisclosed sum, but will work to increase Stream Global’s global footprint as well as will be able to offer more services to its clients.

“A premier demand and lead generation solutions provider LBM, will be able to generate better sales lead,” explained Mike Shea, executive vice president of marketing for Stream Global. “LBM's annual revenue was about one-tenth the size of Stream Global's 2012 revenue of $865 million. Stream Global operates 50 service centers worldwide with more than 37,000 workers who mostly specialize in sales, customer care and tech support. The company recently opened a call center at its headquarters in Eagan that employs about 175 to 200 people, Shea said. It will expand to its capacity of 350 workers sometime in early to mid-summer.”

Stream Global has been delivering sales and related services through its proprietary StreamSELLER service offering. LBM lead generation capability will definitely add to the processes and portfolio, and with LBM on its side, Stream expects to be able to deliver a more comprehensive sales solution for the company’s global clients.

“This transaction is about delivering greater value to our clients and long-term growth for our company,” added Stream Chairman and CEO, Kathy Marinello. “LBM has proven experience in creating highly precise target lists of people who will be more inclined to buy products and services, which will further enhance the StreamSELLER offering. StreamSELLER focuses on everything involved with the sales process, from recruiting, hiring and training the right people to the consistent use of proven sales behaviors that close more sales with greater predictability. LBM’s people, expertise and capabilities, combined with Stream’s financial strength, global presence, and sales and service offerings, will establish a broader portfolio of high-value service offerings for our clients.”

LBM designs and delivers complete customer lifecycle solutions. The company has been effectively providing solutions for global business-to-consumer (B2C) and business-to-business (B2B) brands, boasting about 2,500 employees in the United Kingdom at six different locations on its payrolls.
