Interactive Intelligence Appoints Mervyn Gomez as Communications-as-a-Service Sales Executive


Industry veteran Mervyn Gomez recently joined Interactive Intelligence (News - Alert) as a Communications-as-a-Service sales executive.

Interactive Intelligence is a provider of unified business communications solutions for contact center automation, enterprise IP telephony and business process automation.

Prior to joining Interactive Intelligence, Mervyn worked for Sony Mobile Communications. There, he held several roles over a four-year period, including pre-sales consultant, technical account manager and product manager. He also served at LG Electronics as a technical sales engineer.

In addition to this, he worked as a network designer at Telstra (News - Alert) and sales consultant at Dell.

"Mervyn’s appointment signifies the rapid growth the local business has encountered over the last couple of years and solidifies our increased commitment towards our ever-expanding customer base in this area. We are very excited to have him on board,” Interactive Intelligence's managing director for Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific, Brendan Maree, said in a statement.

Academically, Mervyn holds a Masters of Telecommunications Engineering and a Bachelor of Engineering, majoring in Telecommunications and IT from the University of New South Wales. In his undergraduate degree, Gomez graduated with First Class Honors.

Founded in 1994, Interactive Intelligence has approximately 3,000 customers worldwide. The company is among Software Magazine's top 500 global software and services suppliers, and is ranked among Network World's (News - Alert) top 200 North American networking vendors.
