GEICO Hiring an Additional 300 Representatives at Tucson Call Center

GEICO plans to hire at least 300 more associates for its Tucson, Ariz., office over the next couple of weeks. This announcement comes a little over two years after the company hired 80 employees due to an increase in the number of drivers who switched to GEICO.

“My last company had to cut back because of the rough economic conditions. And it’s like that for a lot of people in this area. Companies staff up and then they have to tell some employees that they can’t keep them,” said Michelle Sproule, a claims service representative. “I feel secure at GEICO about having a stable job at a stable company. And I’m optimistic because I am launching a new career for myself.”

During the next round of hires, GEICO said it’s looking to fill new positions and make up for attrition at its regional office. “We are pleased to have an opportunity to invest in growth of Tucson and the surrounding community,” said Martha Furnas, GEICO’s regional vice president. “GEICO is providing stable career opportunities that are vital to building our local economy and making Tucson a better place to work and live.”

There are numerous ways to apply for the openings. For starters, interested applicants can head to www.geico.jobs or call 1-888-852-6362 to look over the application, ask questions, and get more information. In addition, GEICO offers a special fast track program for college students. The program, called GEICO’s Supervisor Leadership Program, offers entry-level positions to recent graduates looking for management training positions. 

Furnas said this program will be offered to the Tucson area. “Tucson continues to provide us with a great pool of educated candidates that have a strong connection to the community,” said Furnas. “We are looking for bright and enthusiastic professionals who will be ambassadors for the company.”

Regardless of how you apply, GEICO is hoping to fill the 300 positions at its Tucson office, near East Speedway and North Kolb Road at 930 N. Finance Center Drive, as soon as possible.
