CRM's Consona Reports 'Record Revenue' for 2007

February 20, 2008

Consona Corporation, a vendor of enterprise resource planning and customer relationship management software and services for the enterprise, has reported "record revenue and customer satisfaction levels" for the year ended December 31, 2007.

In 2007, Consona delivered a 64 percent increase in total revenue over the previous year. Following a 129 percent increase in revenue between 2005 and 2006, the company was named one of the top ten fastest growing software companies by Software magazine."

"We've grown our revenues by more than 400 percent since our first acquisition, Made2Manage Systems, in 2003," Consona's CEO Jeff Tognoni said.

In 2006, the company acquired six product lines, followed by the acquisition of Knova Software in March 2007. In the latter half of 2007, the Consona management ceased M&A activity and assessed the business. As a result, the company implemented several organizational changes that will be rolled out in early 2008.

This past summer Consona CRM announced that Charleston, South Carolina-based Federal Credit Union, one of the largest credit unions in the United States, selected its Onyx CRM to be its "member relationship management" product across 23 branches.

As a community-chartered credit union with more than $1 billion in assets, South Carolina Federal supports more than 148,000 members, who own and belong to the nonprofit financial cooperative. According to Bonnie Ciuffo, CIO for South Carolina Federal, "the Onyx team 'had us at hello.'"

"The financial services industry has always been a key competency for Onyx CRM, with nearly 25 percent of our user base falling within this industry," said Tim Hines, vice president of product management for Consona CRM.

Earlier this year Consona CRM announced the release of Onyx Adaptive CRM Version 6.0, KNOVA v7.1, and Million Handshakes v4.5, "just 10 months after the company's entry into the customer relationship management market with the acquisition of Onyx Software Corporation," company officials say.

Jeff Tognoni said their CRM product is pitched towards "medium- and large-sized businesses."

The Consona CRM release "presents a full suite of functionality," company officials say, including sales, service, support, and marketing automation; service resolution and knowledge management; business process management; and business intelligence.

The release includes the general availability of Onyx v6.0 and the release of both Knova v7.1 and Million Handshakes v4.5 to the division's customer base.
