Norwood School Selects Objectworld UC Server for Unified Communications

February 19, 2008

Objectworld Communications Corp., a provider of unified communications and communications-enabled business process (CEBP) software solutions for small- and medium-sized businesses (SMB) with Microsoft Windows platforms, has announced that Norwood School has selected Objectworld UC Server.

This latest selection of the Objectworld UC Server will provide unified communications to the faculty and staff members of the school district. Norwood’s 120 faculty and staff members teaching 530 students will be able to improve responsiveness and increase efficiency by accessing and responding to incoming messages from any location at any time of day.

Norwood School administrators view school safety and staff responsiveness as paramount. The school required a simple-to-use solution that allowed faculty to access faxes, e-mail and voice messages through a single interface from a tablet or BlackBerry device.

Objectworld UC Server provides that one-stop messaging solution with a point-and-click service environment to equip Norwood’s faculty and staff with around-the-clock access to all messages and communications.

“Objectworld UC Server has made it so easy for every faculty member to manage their communications needs via a single interface,” said David Rossell, Administrator of Network Services and Planning of Norwood School, in a Tuesday statement.

“We selected UC Server based on the solution’s reliability and Objectworld’s capability to deliver high quality customer service.  Our faculty and staff are thrilled with unified communications and how they have real-time access to all their messages.”

The Objectworld UC Server was installed to work in conjunction with Norwood’s existing Microsoft Exchange Server with Outlook and Avaya IP Office VoIP system to deliver unified communication capabilities. The installation was implemented by system integrator, Bennet Communications.

An easy-to-manage software-based solution, the Objectworld UC Server is able to turn existing PBX systems into full unified communications systems. As an Active Directory-enabled application, it also simplifies IT administration and allows users to drive communications-enabled business productivity by linking business communications with business processes, and corporate data.

“Today, a teacher’s responsibilities go beyond the classroom,” said David Levy, President and Chief Executive Office of Objectworld, in Tuesday’s statement.

“To better educate students, faculty and staff need to be plugged into what is happening with the administration, teachers and parents.  We were very glad that Norwood School selected Objectworld to help it be more responsive to the needs of the people that teach our children.”

Objectworld has taken a smart approach with its UC Server application as it recognizes the importance of ease-of-use and smart integration. Complicated solutions, no matter how many benefits they promise, will not be used if they are cumbersome or difficult to navigate.

By integrating into applications that individuals in the Norwood School already used and were comfortable with, Objectworld ensured quick acceptance of the integrated unified communications solution, as well as complete use throughout the school.
