Storis Releases 8.5 of Vision R8 Product

Storis Management Systems, a vendor of retail products and services for retailers, has announced Release 8.5, the latest version of Storis' Windows-based product Vision R8.
 
"Servicing big ticket retailers is our business," stated Doug Culmone, COO of Storis.

Release 8.5 highlights include enhanced processing of international and domestic shipment of goods for improved supply chain management, as well as specific capabilities including improved processing for customs brokers, freight forwarding, shipping ports and others.

 
There's a new graphical presentation of business logos and banners "to promote brand awareness," according to the Storis oficials, as well as enhanced vendor shipping and payables processing, with multi-layered buyer assignment.
 
The product also offers a Payment Processing Inc. interface to Storis' electronic POS payment processes, as well as broadened customer mailing list selections with more user defined run-time options.
 
"At the foundation of Vision R8 lies a real-time system that integrates all the essential aspects of retail operations, from Order Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Intelligence, InTouch CRM, Financial Management and eCommerce," company officials say.
 
Last month Storis announced that Finger Furniture Company selected Vision R8 for use at all six Finger retail locations, in addition to their Ashley Home Stores.
 
Larry Hogue, CFO for Finger Furniture Company, said the product is expected to help the furniture retailers improve their processing, analytics, and reporting and overall operations.

Finger Furniture Company will also deploy several Vision R8 Companion Products including Data Warehouse & Business Intelligence products, eSTORIS suite of eCommerce products, RF Barcode, iCALL: STORIS' Automated Consumer Contact System, Red Prairie WMS Interface, and more.

Vision R8 is real-time system integrating such retail operations as Order Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Intelligence Analytics, CRM, Financial Management and eCommerce.
 
In November Storis, which kind of specializes in products for big ticket retailers, announced the availability of its newest Vision R8 product, Executive Vision.
