Pegasystems Unveils Latest Version of SmartBPM Suite



Pegasystems (News - Alert) has unveiled the latest version of its SmartBPM Suite. The company, a provider of Business Process Management (BPM) software, took advantage of the exposure today at the Gartner (News - Alert) BPM Summit in Las Vegas.

SmartBPM is positioned as the only software that can accelerate time-to-market with frameworks for industry-specific requirements and processes.

"Customers tell us that SmartBPM with Build for Change(R) technology produces staggering results, such as 30 percent revenue growth, 40 percent improvement in productivity and five point increases in customer retention," said Alan Trefler, founder and CEO of Pegasystems, in a Monday statement.

"Pegasystems' product strategy empowers our customers to achieve business agility. Competitive, visionary organizations need quick, global deployment and cannot wait for results from traditional technology approaches.”

“These powerful new features and capabilities - many first-to-market and exclusive to Pegasystems - provide businesses with a competitive edge to help them meet and exceed their goals," Trefler added.

SmartBPM is designed to empower business users by capturing their objectives and requirements directly in the system through the use of such familiar tools as Microsoft (News - Alert) Visio and Excel, as well as guided wizards that provide “fill in the blank” questionnaires.

Such business requirements automatically produce software applications, complete with user interface, integration and executable business models.

Automation is easily hampered by the money and time needed for traditional application project management and testing. Now, Pegasystems is launching new project and test management frameworks that speed the full business lifecycle of BPM applications. Such innovations are expected to reduce time-to-market and simultaneously improve quality by more than 30 percent.

Pegasystems’ new capabilities are positioned as providing companies with extraordinary degrees of agility to service the specialized needs of multiple geographies, regulatory environments, and channels.

These needs include the reuse and sharing of application components across the enterprise, automated accessibility to meet government regulations, and automated localization that enables global organizations to do business locally and around the world.

Pegasystem's newly launched Internet Application Composer is designed to enable companies to write their business process application once and deploy it immediately into their existing Web presence, without additional coding or interfaces. As such, the application helps to enable a consistent customer experience across multiple channels, including branch, contact center, agents and the Internet.

Pegasystems is also expanding its portfolio of unique solution frameworks that provide such solutions as customer service for insurance; care management for healthcare; fraud and anti-money laundering case management; and product configuration.

Pegasystems has done well to recognize the channels that are facing the enterprise today when striving to speed time-to-market with new products and services. The company also understands the value that can be captured when information is fully distributed throughout the enterprise.
