Conference Calls with Live Interpretation Now Available
January 31, 2008
As the use of conferencing sessions for personal as well as in professional communications increases, there is a specific demand for language services to support worldwide communications capabilities.
In response to this need, audio, web and video conferencing services provider Conference Plus, Inc. (ConferencePlus) has announced an agreement with Language Learning Enterprises, Inc., (LLE) that will bring to its conferencing customers, on-demand "live" 24-hour telephone interpretation in 150 different languages.
For ConferencePlus customers, the new partnership with LLE, expands their language options and makes it possible to place an instant interpretation request during a conference session.
When a request is made, LLE, which provides 24-hour telephone interpretation, document and email translation, will automatically allow a live interpreter to join the conference and provide the needed interpretation.
According to LLE, nearly 20 percent of people in the United States alone speak limited English. The partnership between the two companies came in response to this reality, as well as ConferencePlus' review of the market and its customers need for language options to support worldwide conferencing.
Ken Velten, Senior Vice President, Marketing, ConferencePlus commented, "We believe our partnership with LLE provides our customers with tools to thrive and compete in the global economy."
"The customer service industry and conferencing, in particular, is constantly experiencing challenges with non-English speaking customers and prospects," says Clyde Anderson, Vice President of Marketing for LLE.
"When these challenges exist, an organization experiences a decrease in customer service and an increase in un-serviced requests. LLE-Language Services is delighted to provide ConferencePlus with a credible, high quality solution at every point of customer contact, whether the need is for translation or interpretation," Anderson said.
