PHASE 2's Discounted SaaS Solutions for SMBs

January 10, 2008

Honolulu-based PHASE 2 International, a worldwide provider of Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions has announced a discounted offering for a range of hosted Microsoft  solutions specially targeting the small to medium-sized businesses (SMB).

PHASE 2’s offering of discounted SaaS applications follows Microsoft’s recent plans to expand its SaaS program to cover large organizations. PHASE 2 felt the need to provide a scheme to help smaller organizations avail the benefits of Microsoft’s SaaS solutions. The pricing details are available at the company’s website.

"Software as a service has a tremendous advantage in cost, particularly for the small business or startups," said PHASE 2 CEO Kevin Doherty in a press release. "Just as Microsoft is starting to serve SaaS to large corporations, PHASE 2 is focused on providing the same business tools to smaller businesses in a very affordable way."

The SaaS delivery model helps organizations utilize the benefits of high-end business applications without the need to own software. By paying a monthly fee to the hosting provider, companies irrespective of their size, can take advantage of complex software solutions and do not have to bear massive expenses for infrastructure, hardware, software and manpower otherwise associated with hosting such software.

PHASE 2 has the largest set of Microsoft’s SaaS applications online including Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Live Communicator and applications for CRM, accounting and HR.

"When we first heard that Microsoft was only serving SaaS applications to the largest corporations, we knew there'd be a huge unfulfilled demand from smaller companies," explains Adam Smith, Director of Marketing, PHASE 2. "We tailored our SaaS applications to fit the budget and technical needs of those not eligible for the Microsoft program."

PHASE 2 is a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner offering clients reliable, scalable and affordable solutions that can be customized to meet the specific needs of the organization. The company also offers specific domain expertise and custom applications for the architectural and construction industries.
