Former CRM Manager at Accenture Hired at Fulcrum

October 09, 2007

Fulcrum, a vendor of analytics, technology and program products for manufacturers and retailers, has announced that industry veteran Michael Berry has joined the company as vice president of financial services products.

Berry has been senior manager, financial services in the CRM practice at Accenture, leading the development of customer insight products and integrating partner-provided marketing automation, business intelligence capabilities and Accenture's business process management skills.

Fulcrum officials say he will be responsible for sales, sales management, business development, marketing, and product development focused on the financial services industry. Most recently, Berry was senior vice president of financial services at Conclusive Marketing, formerly Synapse Technology.

Berry has also worked as vice president, banking sales at Harte-Hanks, where he managed a CRM technology sales team responsible for the top 100 banks in the US.

Last month Dutch telecom provider KPN selected Accenture as its lead systems integrator to transform its customer relationship management (CRM) capabilities across its businesses in the Netherlands, the company has announced.

The goal of the project, KPN officials say, is to transform itself into a truly customer-centric organization, "revolutionizing the way it conducts business in all of its interactions with customers, businesses, channels and partners." Accenture will use Oracle’s Siebel CRM software applications.

In May Accenture was positioned in the "Leaders" quadrant in Gartner Inc.'s 2007 Customer Relationship Management (CRM) service provider marketplace analyses for Europe and North America.

For its "Magic Quadrant for CRM Service Providers, Europe, 2007" and "Magic Quadrant for CRM Service Providers, North America, 2007" reports, Gartner evaluated vendors across Europe and North America on their ability to execute and their completeness of vision.

In both the North American and the European analyses, Gartner positioned Accenture based on its "ability to execute" and "completeness of vision." The combination of these two measurements is used to map a company's position in the Magic Quadrant.
