Infor Partners With Teradata

September 18, 2007

CRM vendor Infor has announced a partnership with Teradata, a division of NCR Corporation, in which Teradata will license the Infor CRM Epiphany Inbound Marketing product and deliver it as a component of the Teradata Customer Relationship Management (CRM) portfolio.

The result is what Infor officials call “a data warehouse-driven CRM product that enables personalized, relevant offers to customers via online, call center and in-store channels.” The product will be marketed as Teradata Next Best Activity.

Infor CRM Epiphany Inbound Marketing is part of a closed-loop CRM product set from Infor that also includes Sales, Outbound Marketing and Service, and provides analytics and personalization capabilities. Teradata Next Best Activity merges these inbound capabilities with customer information, from historical and real-time interaction data, to provide a 360 degree view of the customer.

Teradata, a division of NCR Corporation, sells enterprise data warehousing, analytic applications and data warehousing services.

Earlier this month Infor announced an agreement with Danieli Automation, part of the Danieli Group, a vendor of equipment and machinery for the steel industry, for the implementation of Infor ERP LN, Infor CRM Epiphany Sales and also Infor e Service.

These products will provide a single view of its operations to help Danieli Automation answer all customer requests, in real time, throughout all stages of the sales, production and after sales process, Infor officials say.

Danieli Automation’s previous IT system was unable to address vital project manufacturing and after-sales requirements, company officials say. Therefore, Danieli chose Infor for its business-specific LN product, which has particular strengths in project manufacturing and after-sales servicing for the steel industry.

Danieli Automation has also decided to extend its LN investment with the implementation of Infor CRM Epiphany Sales to provide their sales people with real-time access to relevant data while interacting with customers.

Giuseppe Mecchia, Project Manager of Danieli Automation, said with the implementation of Infor’s ERP and CRM products, “we expect to improve our customer responsiveness and project efficiency, as well as better manage our after-sales and maintenance areas.”

In June Infor announced enhancements to its Infor CRM Epiphany product line to allow integration of CRM functionality with the latest releases of Avaya, Lotus Domino, and Crystal Reports, company officials say. Infor CRM Sales 7.0.2 and Infor CRM Service 7.0.2 are now certified to support these platforms.
