Former MLB Pitcher Jim Abbott to Speak During Special Networking Event at ITEXPO

Former Major League Baseball pitcher Jim Abbott will be a special guest speaker during a private networking event sponsored by Interactive Intelligence to be held 5:30-8:30 p.m., Monday, Oct. 4, at Bonaventure Brewing Company, located at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles.


This unique networking opportunity is being presented as part of the ITEXPO West 2010 Conference taking place Oct. 4-6 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

Abbott is a one-handed pitcher who was drafted in the first round of the 1988 MLB Draft. He reached the Majors the next year. Born without a right hand, he threw a no-hitter against the Cleveland Indians in 1993. He retired with a career record of 87 wins and 108 losses, with a 4.25 earned run average. He now works as a motivational speaker.

Attendees will spend a memorable evening networking with colleagues and listening to Jim Abbott’s incredible story of perseverance.
