Frost & Sullivan Provides Global Perspective on ROADM Market

September 06, 2007

The Electronic Components Group at Frost & Sullivan’s 2007 Quarterly Analyst Briefing Presentation on the global reconfigurable optical add-drop multiplexer (ROADM) market will be held on Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at 12:00 pm CDT/1:00 pm EDT.

According to the consulting company, the global ROADM market is growing at a significant pace. The growth rate of this market is driven by new regional telecommunications networks’ adoption of the technology and new services such as Mobile TV and IP TV. North America is the leader in ROADM usage, followed by the EMEA and APAC markets. Frost & Sullivan emphasizes that despite a promising future, market participants must overcome key market challenges.

ROADM component manufacturers, system integrators, carriers, and research and development engineers are expected to benefit from this briefing, highlights which include: a discussion of current as well as future market trends, market drivers and challenges.

“Decreasing prices coupled with increasing competition in the ROADM market both at component and systems levels, forces manufacturers to search for newer solutions to stay competitive in the market,” said Frost & Sullivan Research Analyst Jaydeep Bhattacharjee in a statement.
