Logistix Worldwide announces the deployment of integrated WMS and EDI services

SPS Commerce is a provider of on-demand supply chain management solutions. 3PL Central is a well known provider of WMS for small and mid-sized 3PLs. Recently, they together announced the implementation of the integrated warehouse management system (WMS) and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) services by Logistix Worldwide, a third party logistics (3PL) and distribution company. This implementation will help to manage their warehouse and distribution functions in a better way, offer visibility to their customers, and meet the terms with supply chain requirements.

In addition, it controls the on-demand or Software-as-a-Service (SaaS (News - Alert)) model to eliminate the need to invest in hardware, software, IT staff or maintenance. This is to achieve the customer service levels equivalent to those of bigger or more recognized logistics providers.

Erik Hinson, the managing director of Logistix Worldwide, said, '3PL Central and SPS Commerce have given us a competitive advantage and without the combined solution we would not have been able to grow our business so quickly. We have more to offer our customers and can service large and small accounts alike with our knowledgeable staff. Due to our WMS and EDI capabilities, Logistix has signed on new accounts that desired these services as part of their 3PL relationship.'

This new integrated solution from 3PL Central and SPS Commerce helps the 3PLs with an EDI and WMS solution which is pre-wired to work together for a much quicker implementation. The 3PLs which use the solution are able to swiftly bring new customers online, abolish manual entry to improve fulfillment accuracy and decrease chargebacks, and cut order to cash cycle for their customers. Today, the Logistix customers are able to view the shipping status of their orders and inventory levels 24/7.

Steven Katz, the Vice President of Sales and Marketing at 3PL Central, said, "3PLs adopting SaaS solutions like SPSCommerce.net and 3PL Warehouse Manager can expand their services without increasing their internal resources and keep their fees competitive. Our 3PL customers, including Logistix Worldwide, are seeing results in weeks, not months, from the integrated solution. The growing number of joint customers and orders processing through the integrated solution are a testimony to how well it meets the business needs of today's 3PLs.'

3PL Central offers on-demand supply chain software focused on the requirements of 3PLs, public, and third-party warehouses.
