TARGUSinfo Powers Syniverse Caller Name Services

TARGUSinfo, a provider of On-Demand Insight, reportedly has powered Syniverse’s caller name and wireless caller name presentation services.

 
Syniverse Technologies is a provider of technology and business solutions for the global telecommunications industry, and their solution serves more than 30 North American telecom providers.
 
TARGUSinfo is an authoritative source of CNAM services with access to more than 410 million CNAM records. TARGUSinfo CNAM repository will help telecom providers in North America to attach caller names to phone numbers. This in turn will help subscribers to have specific information about incoming callers on their phones, televisions or computers.
 
The Syniverse solution is popular because it can significantly lower traditional network CNAM expenses. It can also provide mobile operators new revenue opportunities by adding caller identification as a proven customer-valued feature.
 
Tony Holcombe, president and CEO, Syniverse observed that subscribers today expect that they will have basic information about the people who are calling them regardless of the way they access their phone services.
 
He continued: “Not only do we currently provide operators with a clear path to best-of-breed caller name services, but we also simplify the complexities they encounter when using other costly, outdated network CNAM models.”
 
According to George Moore, chairman and CEO, TARGUSinfo, their authoritative repository delivers unprecedented access to all available CNAM records, and this allows Syniverse customers to reduce the unpredictability of CNAM costs while improving the overall speed and accuracy of their service.
 
Moore noted a 2008 report by The Paisley Group that said TARGUSinfo’s service was superior to traditional network CNAM in both coverage and accuracy of caller names delivered.
 
“We deliver information for 100 percent of the available wireline and wireless listings compared with only 79.6 percent from legacy CNAM platforms,” he added.
 
TARGUSinfo was in news this July when it inked a deal to provide comprehensive online lead verification, lead scoring and analytics to Grand Canyon Education, Inc., a regionally accredited provider of online and campus-based post-secondary education services.
