RAZAR Partners with Preton

July 13, 2009

RAZAR Technologies, a technology firm serving the insurance, healthcare, financial services, distribution and public sectors, has announced a partnership with Preton, which makes print optimization and management software.

RAZAR sells software products that help companies to reduce costs while increasing productivity. Its portfolio of products and services include print optimization, print management, PC virtualization, document automation, document management, workflow, collaboration and intelligent electronic forms.

According to a release, the company’s partnership with Preton aims to reduce organizations’ print consumables expenditures by 30 to 50 percent by using PretonSave’s advanced algorithm to reduce the amount of toner or ink used on a page while still producing a high quality output.

PretonSaver is comprehensive print management software for management and control of printer fleets that combines printer management, optimization of toner and ink, management information reports and rule-based printing into a single print management solution. It contributes to savings of up to 50 percent off print costs.

“When looking at cost saving measures, a company rarely looks to what they consider fixed budget items like toner or paper,” said RAZAR Technologies CFO Carl Krueger in a release. He said that, with no changes to infrastructure or printing process an organization can cut this budget line item by 35 percent or more. He added that it is a significant savings measure that every C-level officer should consider, showing their employees and shareholders they are serious about fiscal responsibility and the planet’s ecosystem.

“For executives, it cannot stop at fiscal responsibility,” Krueger said. “Environmental stewardship must be equally important and print optimization and management has a very positive impact on our planet. Less toner or ink used. Less paper due to print rules at the user or group level.”

Razar is currently offering multiple pricing models to its customers, as well as a software-as-a-service (SaaS) model.
