Interactive Intelligence among Software Magazine Top 500 Software and Services Suppliers

December 12, 2014

The news from the Indianapolis, IN headquarters of contact center solutions community host Interactive Intelligence in terms of industry recognition continues its recent hot streak.  Not only was the company recent honored with a Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Award as one of America’s outstanding places to work, but its philanthropic organization was given the Indiana Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals 2014 Philanthropy Award for Outstanding Corporation of the year.

This streak actually started a few days earlier with Interactive Intelligence being listed by Software Magazine among its Software 500, a ranking of the world's 500 largest software and services suppliers.

This year Interactive Intelligence broke into the top 200 with a ranking of 182nd. Indicative of its continued growth, this beats its ranking last year of 203rd. The company improved its ranking by growing corporate revenues 34 percent -- from $237.4 million in 2012, to $318.2 million in 2013.

This is the 14th consecutive year Interactive Intelligence has been included in the Software 500 ranking.

"Last year our improved revenues were largely due to a significant increase in total customer orders -- up 30 percent compared to 2012, with cloud-based orders up 87 percent year-over-year," said Interactive Intelligence founder and CEO, Dr. Donald Brown. "Looking forward, we'll remain committed to innovation, particularly in the area of cloud solutions, as we continue to fulfill our mission of helping companies turn customer service into a competitive weapon."

For those interested in the rankings, the Software 500 is a revenue-based ranking of the world's largest software and services suppliers, targeting medium to large enterprises, their IT professionals, software developers, and business managers involved in software and services purchasing. The Software 500 ranking is based on total worldwide software and services revenue from the 2013 fiscal year. This includes revenue from software licenses, maintenance and support, training, software-related services, and consulting. Suppliers are not ranked on total corporate revenue, since many have other lines of business, such as hardware.

"Our Software 500 is the perfect go-to list for CIOs, senior IT managers, and IT staff that want to create a short list of business partners based on vendor viability," said John P. Desmond, editor of Software Magazine.

The complete Software 500 ranking can be found at www.softwaremag.com.

Congratulations to Interactive Intelligence, this past year’s recognition may be hard to top, but given the number of consecutive years in a row the company has been named for such honors, and based on its prospects in a robust market, a prediction for 2015 is that the recognition will continue.
