Aegis Announces New Hiring Round for Kansas Call Center

April 14, 2014

Aegis Communications group has been having a very good 12 months. The company  recently announced that it wants to grow the number of employees at its Joplin, Kansas call center. The company says it will start hiring new workers immediately and is looking to add as many as 150 full-time jobs in the next few months.

Josh Friend, a recruiter for Aegis says that all 150 jobs are full-time with above average base wage and benefit options. While he did not say exactly how much the firm was planning on paying, the firm has a history of very competitive pay. Friend said the company is looking to hire the first wave, of about 50 people by the middle of April.

Aegis is able to take on the new employees because a current customer has increased their business with the firm. A health care provider added a new line of business with Aegis and is going to need the third party call center to handle the incoming calls and make outgoing calls on behalf of the client. The firm already has more than 480 people under employment and the hiring phase will now exceed more than 630 employees.

Aegis has had these kinds of hiring periods before, bringing in hundreds of workers at one time, but almost all of those were part-time.  This time around the firm says the employees will be permanent.

Hiring rounds are nothing different than most other call centers looking to add employees quickly. Those kinds of call centers often look at their employees as something that might need to be cut off if the business dries up. While Aegis claims these jobs aren’t going to be going away anytime soon, there are no guarantees in this business sector.
