Telx Lends its Data Center Suite to iland Internet in Dallas

August 19, 2008

An interconnection company, Telx, announced that it has leased a custom data center suite to iland Internet Solutions at 8435 Stemmons Freeway in Dallas.

iland is a provider of VMware VI enterprise solutions, managed colocation and high speed IP bandwidth. According to the company, this latest announcement marks a significant iland presence with New York City-based Telx in the Dallas market.

Currently, iland Internet has a presence in over 50 markets in the U.S. and Europe. iland’s full suite of managed IP and data solutions include monitoring, managed router and firewall services, security, and IP bandwidth. iland also provides clients multiple connectivity options from the data center to their office locations.

These options include Ethernet, metro and intercity private lines, multi-protocol label switching (MPLS) and IP virtual private networks (VPN) networks.

TeleGeography reports that Dallas is the fifth largest market in the U.S. for colocation space. However, it also finds that large quality space coupled with a choice of network providers is not prevalent.

“This makes Telx’s facility at 8435 Stemmons a rare find in this market,” according to iland officials.

“Telx is the ideal solution provider for iland in Dallas,” said Scott Sparvero, CEO at iland Internet Solutions.

Sparvero added that Telx has given his company an easy to use solution with a quick turn-up time. Now, Telx customers can easily connect to iland’s tier 1 IP providers.

Bill Kolman, executive vice president of sales at Telx, said that the Telx Stemmons facility has the “perfect” combination of cost effective services, security and reliability for companies like Iland.

“Our ability to meet their timeline, coupled with our flexible product and service offerings, enable iland to ensure quality services to their end-users. Going forward, we have an excellent experienced team to support this effort. This is a win-win for both companies,” explained Kolman.

Telx provides interconnectivity solutions through its network-neutral and network rich, colocation facilities. The company reportedly has over a dozen facilities in North America.

Telx offers networking solutions for customers to access diverse global networks and exchange information in a secure and reliable environment.

The iland Internet facility at 8435 Stemmons Freeway is interconnected seamlessly to the other Telx facility, located at 2323 Bryan Street in Dallas.

IP connectivity and managed services offered by the iland Internet are now available to Telx customers in both locations.
