According to a press release from the company, Ray Cappola, Jose Martinez and Steven Vaughan have been appointed as Interactive Intelligence vice presidents for CaaS support, CaaS infrastructure and CaaS delivery, respectively.

Cappola, who is a 12-year veteran in technology support, will be looking after global management of CaaS technical support and the company's network operations centers. On the other hand, Martinez will manage Interactive Intelligence's 12 global data centers, as well as the company's CaaS-related network and storage operations and engineering. Prior to joining Interactive Intelligence, Martinez was working with IBM. He holds 16 years of experience and has handled global infrastructure projects for many of IBM’s Fortune 500 customers.

Vaughan, who will look after management of the CaaS architecture, implementation and service delivery teams, is a 20-year veteran and has worked with various renowned companies such as Cisco, Genesys and LiveVox. With a combined experience of over 48 years, the three professionals will be responsible for further driving the growth of Interactive Intelligence Communications as a Service group.

Over the last year, Interactive Intelligence CaaS group has grown 115 percent. Many renowned companies have chosen CaaS offerings from Interactive Intelligence and have benefitted greatly. Net.America Corp., which provides professional services to the federal government, recently deployed a cloud-based contact center solution from Interactive Intelligence. According to a release, of particular benefit to net.America has been the integration between Interactive Intelligence CaaS and its third-party CRM software.

"Given that our cloud solutions have represented the fastest growing segment of our business for the past several years — with cloud-based orders up 75 percent last quarter alone — we decided to add several key positions to ensure we can continue offering our customers the best cloud deployment experience possible," said Mike Szilagyi, Interactive Intelligence vice president of CaaS.
