Interactive Intelligence Strengthens Leadership to Boost Cloud Communications Business

Interactive Intelligence announced that the company has added three positions at Vice President level to further boost its presence in the cloud communications infrastructure, support and service business. Following the development, Ray Cappola, Steven Vaughan and Jose Martinez will join the organization brining in a combined experience of 48 years to Interactive Intelligence’s Communications as a Service (CaaS) business.


In a release, Mike Szilagyi, Vice President of CaaS at Interactive Intelligence, said “Given that our cloud solutions have represented the fastest growing segment of our business for the past several years — with cloud-based orders up 75 percent last quarter alone — we decided to add several key positions to ensure we can continue offering our customers the best cloud deployment experience possible.”

Ray Cappola will take on the role of the Vice President for CaaS support leading the company’s network operations centers and CaaS technical support operations worldwide. Prior to joining Interactive Intelligence, Cappola was leading the global storage support delivery team at Oracle.

Steven Vaughan joins the company as the Vice President for CaaS delivery leading the company’s operations related to the development of CaaS architecture, implementation and associated service delivery. In his previous roles, Vaughan has held senior positions at Cisco, Genesys and LiveVox across professional services, IT systems management and product development business.

Jose Martinez will serve as the Vice President of CaaS infrastructure heading the company’s 12 data centers across the world and CaaS related network, storage and engineering operations. In his earlier role, Martinez led the global infrastructure projects at IBM managing the Fortune 500 accounts.
