3Cinteractive Completes PCI Compliance Certification

September 13, 2013

For the second time in a row, 3Cinteractive, a leading mobile consumer engagement and commerce company, has attained Level 1 Service Provider certification of the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) 2.0.

The PCI DSS, a set of comprehensive requirements for enhancing payment account data security, was developed by the founding payment brands of the PCI Security Standards Council, including American Express, Discover Financial Services, JCB International, MasterCard Worldwide and Visa International, to help facilitate the broad adoption of consistent data security measures on a global basis.

This recertification proves that 3C is capable of providing secure and safe mobile commerce and payment solutions, using virtually any mobile application, to companies around the world.

3C went through a difficult third-party review of its security policies and procedures as well as the platform’s physical security environment, and has been successful in keeping up with the required standards to achieve PCI certification. The PCI DSS security standard includes maintenance of security management, policies, procedures, network architecture, software design and other critical protective measures.

“PCI certification is the backbone of our comprehensive security program to ensure the safeguarding of our clients’ and their customers’ data," said John Ceraolo, Chief Security Officer at 3Cinteractive. “Mobile consumer engagement increasingly involves more and more sensitive customer data. It is critical for a company to know that their mobile provider is treating their consumer’s data with the utmost care and security.”

Founded in 2005, 3C is a long-standing member of the CTIA and Mobile Marketing Association. The company’s cloud platform – Switchblade – supports mobile applications that help businesses better engage consumers, make ‘right-time’ decisions and increase the lifetime value of their customers.

The company recently announced that it is been ranked No. 1 on Forbes' list of "America's Most Promising Companies." The third annual list recognizes U.S.-based, high-growth, privately held companies.
