Interactive Intelligence Foundation Hosting Charity Event to Rasie Funds for At-Risk Youth

Interactive Intelligence has distinguished itself as a key player in the unified IP business communications software and services space. It also had made its mark in the area of corporate responsibility over the years being generous in giving back to the community.


This year, the company’s nonprofit arm, the Interactive Intelligence Foundation is hosting it third annual auction gala on September 28th at the JW Marriot Downtown Indianapolis to raise funds for a number of causes with a focus on helping organizations that deal with the challenges of assistingat-risk youth.

This year’s theme is “Vintage Carniva.l” An array of fun activities like carnival games and live auctions will be followed by the presentations by guest speakers.

The topics will be of interest to a wide ranging audience. Interactive Intelligence Founder and CEO Dr. Donald E. Brown will share his expertise in contact center and unified communication technologies, plus past recipients of assistance from Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana and Happy Hollow Children's Camp, will share their experience about the children and youth at needs for assistance.

Auction items are as varied as autographed sports collectables and a trip to Las Vegas. Other items include an Indy auto racing experience, private court time at Bankers Life Fieldhouse, designer watches, VIP tickets to the Straight No Chaser concert, signed jacket from Brickyard 400 2013 winner Ryan Newman, 25-person private dinner party, a Napa Valley trip, a two-night hotel get-away, and more.

Interactive Intelligence will be donating all proceeds from the event will to Foundation-supported charities, which include Camptown, Desert Edge Mentoring Services, FIRST, Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana, Happy Hollow Children's Camp, The Julian Center, Penny Lane, and TRAC South Africa.

“I'm happy to say that our Foundation is making great strides helping fund programs like camps for impoverished youth that teach vital life skills, college scholarship grants, and food drives that have helped feed thousands of local-area children. Still, there's lots of work to be done and our annual gala is a great opportunity to raise money to help at-risk youth, while enjoying an evening of good food and entertainment, inspiring stories, and the chance to socialize with like-minded community members,” said, Interactive Intelligence Chief Marketing Officer and Foundation President Joe Staples.
