iGov to Modernize Marine Corps COC

January 31, 2013

iGov has been awarded a four-year contract to modernize the Marine Corps AN/TSQ-239 Combat Operations Center (COC).

iGov, which provides evolutionary tactical IT network systems and system lifecycle support programs, has received a fixed price contract valued at $100 million to this end.

The company expects the value of this contract to update and modernize the COC infrastructure will grow in the future. Landing this contract is in line with iGov’s strategic plan for growth and expands its portfolio of programs with the Marines.

“The ongoing success of our Marine Corps Tactical Collaborative Work Suite 2.0 (TCWS 2.0) Program, combined with winning the COC award, is a testament to our proven ability to successfully support the Marine Corps expeditionary IT programs,” said Patrick Neven, iGov CEO and chairman.

The COC provides modular command and control centers across the span of tactical command, and provides tactical data and C2 systems to the headquarters.

Upon completion of this project, the COC will experience a considerable boost in its performance, simplified baseline management and a cut in both operational and life cycle support costs.

“We’re honored to have this opportunity and pleased with the confidence entrusted in us to provide critical C2 capabilities for our nation’s Marines,” added Mike Tyrrell, iGov president and COO.

iGov is an IT systems integrator delivering mission-centric tactical IT solutions to its government customers. About the same time last year, the company was awarded the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic contract to provide intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, information operations, and information assurance equipment to the government.
