APAC Customer Services Plans to Add 275 Jobs in Green Bay

Earlier this week, an Illinois-based company, APAC Customer Services Inc., stated that it plans to add about 275 jobs focused on inbound customer service in Green Bay immediately. Job profiles would include handling customer service calls and providing service through e-mail and other channels.

A sales element will also be present in some cases.

The company stated that the expansion is for multiple Fortune 500 clients in the technology and financial services sectors. Work-at-home as well as onsite positions are available.

APAC is at 301 N. Adams St. in Green Bay.

Chris Arendt, general manager of Green Bay, stated that the growth is a reflection of the service employees have been providing.

 “We’ve done a great job with the business and because of that we’re being awarded additional opportunities from a number of our clients. Those employees coming in, we’re going to provide the training,” he said.

Arendt mentioned that although the jobs are currently centered on first and second shifts, an opportunity for some third-shift work is also possible. Full-time entry-level and operations support staff jobs are available. Comprehensive health coverage, a 401(k) program, and other benefits are offered to eligible employees.

The starting wage varies and is based on experience.

In Green Bay, APAC has about 725 employees. The Green Bay operation manages customer service programs providing sales, service, order tracking, product support and financial care. To economic development officials seeing interest from other businesses looking at offices downtown, the addition of 275 jobs in downtown Green Bay is good news.

Greg Flisram, the city’s economic development director, concluded that it has had a number of nibbles on the Watermark project and there has been talk from other employers, from 20 jobs to 50 jobs, to either consolidate downtown or to relocate into downtown.
