The Warranty Group, a global provider of service contracts and related benefits with operations in over 30 countries, recently opened a new call center facility in Champaign, Illinois, to accommodate the additional call volumes the company is currently experiencing from its continued growth.
The new Champaign call center facility, opened in July of this year, will provide redundancy within the company’s other operating centers for business continuity purposes.
The Champaign County Chamber of Commerce and members of The Warranty Group management team hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the new facility on Wednesday, November 14, 2012.
In a statement, Tom Warsop, chief executive officer, said, "After looking at several other locations, we chose Champaign because of its proximity to our headquarter location, its positive business environment and diverse workforce population."
Managed by Fox Development Corporation, the newly opened property will be able to handle both inbound and outbound call center activities. It will also successfully accommodate nearly 200 work stations.
Officials said the facility will provide The Warranty Group with disaster recovery capabilities and will ensure continued exceptional service to customers should a disruption ever occur at its primary facility in Chicago.
"We are excited to be part of the Champaign community both now and for years to come," said Pam Gruszka, vice president of human resources. "We are actively recruiting positions and look forward to providing opportunities at The Warranty Group as our company continues to grow."
