The Interactive Intelligence Foundation, the charitable arm of Indianapolis-based unified communications and contact center solutions provider Interactive Intelligence, is now accepting grant applications from not-for-profit organizations seeking funding to help at-risk youth. The Foundation says it plans to review proposals that meeting the following criteria: how the requesting organization’s mission aligns with the Interactive Intelligence Foundation’s mission, the organization’s emphasis on science and technology and the impact the project will have on at-risk youth.
Requests for funds are being accepted immediately through Nov. 16, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. EST. Decisions will be made and announced by Dec. 14, 2012 and funds for not-for-profits chosen will be distributed in 2013.
The Interactive Intelligence Foundation was formed in 2010 by global provider of business communications solutions, Interactive Intelligence Group Inc. The Foundation is a not-for-profit corporation that’s mission is to utilize available resources and funding to foster life improvements for at-risk youth.
The Foundation currently serves charities such as the Julian Center, which supports victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and other life crises; FIRST (for Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology), a science-based youth foundation; and the American Red Cross. Through the latter, the Interactive Intelligence Foundation contributed $50,000 to help in the devastation caused by the tornados that hit southern Indiana this spring. The Foundation also sponsors inner-city back-to-school backpack kit program s that distribute supplies to school districts in Indianapolis, Los Angeles, Detroit and Jacksonville, Florida.
