Wireless Distribution Brightstar Honored by U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce

As Hispanic-Americans are one of the largest U.S. growth demographic, many companies are seeking to beef up their marketing efforts in this area, beginning with offering Spanish language marketing and call center services. While some companies are struggling to keep up, others have been doing it for years.

Brightstar (News - Alert) Corp., a wireless distribution company that claims a leadership position for services for the wireless industry, is this week announcing that is has been recognized as the top Latino-owned corporation in the U.S. by the USHCC.

"As one of the most important players in the global wireless industry and the largest Hispanic owned business in the United States, Brightstar Corporation is an example of excellence and innovation," said Javier Palomarez, president and CEO of the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. "We are proud to recognize Brightstar as one of the Top Ten Hispanic Business Enterprises for 2012 and look forward to their continued success in the years to come."

"It is an honor to receive this prestigious recognition from the Hispanic business leadership," said Marcelo Claure, CEO of Brightstar Corp., in a statement announcing the award.

"Brightstar is especially committed to the Hispanic community as it embraces its deep Hispanic roots, and is proud to carry the banner of being a diverse, thriving Hispanic-owned business in all six continents across the globe where it has a presence,” he added.

The USHCC HBE Elite honors the top 10 largest and fastest-growing Hispanic Business Enterprises (HBEs) in the country. The recognition event took place on September 18, 2012 at the USHCC 33rd Annual National Convention in Los Angeles.
