Knowlagent Releases Results of Charitable Community Efforts

August 23, 2012

Call centers, more than many other types of business, are made up of lots of individuals, most of whom are local to the areas where the call center operates. As a result – and perhaps because they are already so “people focused” – call center companies and technology providers tend to be some of the most generous organizations around when it comes to charitable giving.

Call center intraday management solutions provider, Knowlagent, is reporting this week on its community service outreach programs and new initiatives to their ongoing work with MUST Ministries, located in the Atlanta area, where Knowlagent is headquartered.

MUST Ministries is a local not-for-profit organization that provides shelter and services to people experiencing crises. Knowlagent helps MUST by serving lunch and holding food and clothing drives each quarter. During the holidays, Knowlagent employees decorate the shelter and participate in their annual toy shop by helping to hand out gifts.

In recent months, Knowlagent added a new project to help residents of MUST Ministries return to work. Knowlagent employees assist residents with resume writing, interviewing and job searching skills.

“After adding this element to our program in February 2012, the number of residents who found employment doubled,” said Matt McConnell, president and CEO of Knowlagent. “Seeing these early results is encouraging to our employees who want to make a difference and be a part of the solution.”

Knowlagent employees also assist in the MUST Ministries Summer Lunch Program, participating in a bag lunch program to help provide and deliver lunches for children during the summer break.

Knowlagent is also proud to note that its employees participate in other charitable initiatives. These include Camp Sunshine, for which employees raise money to send kids to camp and also serve as either camp counselors or volunteers at the Camp's annual carnival.

In the past three years, Knowlagent has been a top fundraiser for the organization and has sent 133 kids to camp by raising more than $100,000. Knowlagent employees participate in the Sheltering Grace Ministry as well, where employees joined the High Tech Ministries Serve@Work program and renovated a home used by Sheltering Grace Ministry for mothers in crisis.
