Sitel Plans to Expand Its Amarillo Customer Care Call Center

With more than 26 years of industry experience, Sitel has twice been ranked as the top overall call center outsourcing provider and its focus on becoming the best pure-play contact center provider, as rated by Datamonitor's Black Book of Outsourcing, has benefited many large and well-known brands.

Sitel now plans to provide support to an expanding global satellite TV client and is committed to expand its customer care call center in Amarillo, Texas to do just that.

Expansion of the call center is expected to result in an increase in manpower. Hence, Sitel will be recruiting 100 candidates to provide inbound technical care support at the expanded Amarillo facility. The positions are expected to begin in the first week of September.

"As we strive to mean more to our clients, the recent expansion within the Amarillo call center is a direct result of our commitment to meet their objectives in terms of providing outstanding customer service,” said Mike Thompson, site director at Sitel's Amarillo facility.

Customer care, which was once considered “an expensive but inevitable overhead,” is evolving with times and Sitel believes that it has changed this concept with offerings that result in stronger relationships, increased sales and increased value.

It claims to offer the most diversified mix of BPO expertise across industries, improving the effectiveness and efficiency of business processes. Hence, the expansion of the Amarillo facility, according to Sitel is not a “could have” but a “should have.”

“We continue to create deeper relationships with our clients, through better processes, cutting edge technology, and outstanding performance from our people," added Thompson.

Sitel is working closely with Texas Workforce Solutions and hosting an onsite job fair at Sitel in an effort to recruit candidates for filling the posts in the extended facility.

Prospective candidates can either come in person to get more details about the position openings or can apply online in Sitel's "Careers" section. Those with previous customer care experience will be given preference.

The job fair is located at 4945 Canyon Drive, and the recruitment process will commence on August 20, 2012.

Sitel announced a back-to-school drive at its Asheville, N.C. facility. Sitel staff members donated a large quantity of school supplies for Asheville-area children, and Sitel made a matching contribution. Through Sitel's partnership with Asheville's Steadfast House and Eblen Charities, the materials will directly benefit families in the community.
