Voxeo Unveils Security Suite to Tackle Consumer Fraud

August 16, 2012

Voxeo has unveiled its Security Suite in order to assist the contact center industry in dealing with social engineering attacks and deception. The Security Suite comprises of Voxeo’s ANI, Toll, Voice, Location, Payment and PCI Verifiers and Level 1 PCI Hosting.

According to the 2012 Data Breach Investigations Report, the number of data violations is on the rise. As compared to the number of data violations in 2010, the violations have increased by over 4,000 percent in 2012. Attackers are able to locate personal information, like phone numbers, addresses, mothers' maiden names, pets' names, and hobbies very easily from the web-based public databases and social media sites. This information is then utilized by the attackers to deceitfully gather classified information from contact center agents. Companies are now being assisted by Voxeo to put in place some controls in order to decrease these risks.

In a release, Dan Miller, Senior Analyst and Founder, Opus Research said, "Voxeo's Security Suite is a very timely offering because it enables companies to leverage existing technologies to protect their business interests and customer data from human fraud. Voxeo's multi-factor approach to authentication provides a fast, efficient and secure method to detect impostors over the phone. As the incidence of fraud continues to escalate, so too will the importance of putting the right measures in place to minimize those risks cost effectively."

An extremely dependable, rapid identity authentication is offered by Voxeo Security Suite. The verification process is also rationalized, thereby decreasing contact center expenses and enhancing the customer experience.
