Aspect Debuts New Workforce Mobile App for Call Center Managers, Supervisors


While call center technology continues to evolve, and new media and new technology mean that top-tier call centers are always scrambling to improve, one of the hottest trends for the call center this year has been the availability of mobile apps, so call center managers, supervisors and even C-level executives can keep track of call center performance remotely on smartphones.

One of the latest mobile apps comes from contact center solutions provider Aspect (News - Alert), which this week is announcing the availability of Aspect Workforce Mobile, a new customizable mobile application for supervisors and managers of contact centers.

As the U.S. workforce becomes increasingly mobile, more business leaders are looking for ways to keep business processes literally in the palms of their hands. Aspect's new customizable application was designed to address this need.

It's compatible with Apple (News - Alert) (iOS), Android or Windows devices and provides immediate access to both Aspect Unified IP and Aspect Workforce Management systems.

By untethering supervisors from their desktops, according to Aspect in a news release, the application allows managers and supervisors to receive and track critical information and real-time notifications on mobile devices. It's also able to securely process updates directly to the system from the mobile device, decreasing internal costs and administrative overhead while increasing management’s productivity.

Real-time updates to Aspect Workforce Management produce the most accurate intraday schedules possible for greater agent productivity and operational efficiency, company officials said.

“This multi-platform mobile application is just one example of a series of innovative solutions Aspect is introducing, and it represents the kind of customer collaboration driving our ability to deliver high-value solutions,” said David Herzog, vice president professional services for Aspect. “The Aspect Workforce Mobile application, through the new Aspect Applications Foundation, draws on true next generation technologies to enable Aspect to deliver a rich user experience across multiple smartphone platforms powered by Aspect's transformative underlying workforce management capabilities.”

The app is part of a new initiative on Aspect's part to build a development framework, Aspect Applications Foundation, which brings together the company’s multichannel interaction management and workforce optimization solutions with Microsoft (News - Alert) technologies such as SharePoint, Lync and Dynamics CRM.
