Sage Software Ships Peachtree Premium Accounting for Nonprofits 2009

Sage Software has started shipping the latest release of Peachtree by Sage Premium Accounting for Nonprofits with features including new multi-year reporting and cash flow management improvements.

 
The new functionality in Peachtree Premium Accounting for Nonprofits 2009 offers small nonprofit organizations improved budgeting, forecasting and planning capabilities, and also payroll options and more time and expense tracking, according to Sage Software.
 
The new release features Cash-flow management which enables managers to create forecast scenarios and export them to Microsoft Excel for business performance predictions, along with simplified current cash status view.
 
This solution also includes multi-year reporting, enabling nonprofits to view budgets and financial results from farther back than two years to get trending analysis, and forecasts based on prior year activity.
 
In this new version, company’s officials said, Crystal Reports 2008 has been updated with an improved end-user report view and enhanced report designer productivity.
 
Moreover, it is equipped with real-time error alerts that help managers to catch and correct potential accounting errors by notifying them whenever a non-standard AP and AR account is entered into a transaction, or a non-cash account is entered into a cash account field in receipts or payment.
 
Additionally, Payroll Management feature includes expanded support including maintenance of multiple retirement and insurance plans, flexible spending accounts, and new vacation and sick time tracking. 
 
In addition, officials said that Peachtree reports now display only the last four digits of Social Security numbers to help prevent identity theft, comply with state laws and help organizations prevent the potential for fraud within their companies.
   
“Each new release of the Peachtree line is a combined effort between us and our customers because they provide regular feedback on what they need to run their organizations more efficiently,” commented Connie Certusi, general manager of small business accounting solutions at Sage Software.
 
She also said that reporting and cash-flow management resonated strongly, and the current economy makes these even more pressing issues, particularly for small nonprofits who need to maintain strong controls over money coming in and money going out.
